TikTok Sues US Government Over Law That Could Ban the App

TikTok and its parent company ByteDance have filed a lawsuit against the US government challenging a new law that would ban the popular video-sharing app in the US unless it is sold to an approved buyer. The lawsuit alleges the law unfairly singles out the platform and is an unprecedented attack on free speech. The companies argue that they should be protected by the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of expression and are seeking a declaratory judgment that it is unconstitutional.

It's rich that a Chinese app designed to erode American stability from within is fighting a potential ban, yet China has blocked nearly all American products and services from its own market, and any attempt to challenge those bans would be futile. The hypocrisy is almost comical.
