Israeli artist delays opening of Venice Biennale pavilion until Gaza ceasefire

Israeli artist Sigalit Patir, along with the curators of the Israeli pavilion at the Venice Biennale, have decided to delay the opening of their exhibition until a ceasefire and hostage release agreement is reached in Gaza. This decision was made in solidarity with the families of the hostages and the Israeli community calling for change. The move comes amid heightened tensions surrounding Israel's participation in the art fair, with some artists and critics protesting against Israel's presence due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
